I began ice skating the day before, and my skill level was already impossibly higher. I needed an instrument to play for school, and I chose ice hockey, which combines two things I don't know how to do.
She showed up as the late time approached, closing time.
We talked a little, as we did before.
She talked about how she was getting some food, but they weren't staying at her house.
It grew darker and darker. I skated to the other side of the track. I could only see a short distance away from where I was a given moment.
She left with supplies.
